The President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Luka Burilović, held a meeting with representatives of the Center for Halal Quality Certification: Mufti Aziz ef. Hasanović, President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia; Mirza Sabić, President of the Management Board of the Center for Halal Quality Certification; and Muhamed Mandžić, Head of the Center for Halal Quality Certification.
The discussion focused on the potential of the halal market, which represents one of the fastest-growing global segments, encompassing products and services intended for consumers who consciously choose halal standards.
As stated at the meeting, this is a market with a strong international presence and significant potential for further growth, innovation, and the expansion of business opportunities. In addition to the food segment, the halal market is also observed through the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and tourism sectors.
The holding of the Business Forum in Dubrovnik, from November 11 to 13, 2026, at the Hotel "Rixos," was announced. Furthermore, readiness for cooperation in the form of a partnership was expressed.
In addition to Luka Burilović, President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the meeting was also attended by Dragan Kovačević, Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy; Jelena Đugum, Director of the Agriculture and Food Industry Sector; and Sanja Smoljak Katić from the Trade Sector.
